Needed a gift for the "white elephant" game, so rather than buying something silly, I figured I just make a set of cards. The color in the photo isn't the greatest, but it's a grayish blue cardstock that I had a few extra pieces of. So, here they are:

Last Christmas for a while
Well, I've finally made success with eliminating the pile of not quite navy. Since they will let us back into the school next Monday, I'm sure that I will be putting this blog on the back burner. I was hoping to get 50 posts this summer but it looks as if I will not be hitting that goal. Oh well. It did make me post more than usual, so it was a good thing :)
So, the card:
So, the card:
This was pretty darn simple. But the tough thing was finding a sentiment to fit in the 1 1/4 circle punch. It was based on the card below.
More Christmas
.....did I mention I have a bunch of not quite navy cardstock?
I need to revise the polka dot banner piece. I think it blends in too much. It was based on this card (which I actually had planned to do in pink):

Not Quite Navy Christmas
Using up some retired cardstock I have a bunch of....
I'm loving the Snowflake Soiree. I know it's a year old, but I got it after Christmas last year, plus I barely made any cards last year, so this is the first time I've actually used it. I loved this card when i saw it, so my card above is based on this card below:

Notebook 1
Taking a break from the cards, so I decided to make a cover for a spiral notebook. We go through these like crazy at my house! Hubby needs one a month for RedLine, and I need them for all kinds of things home and school related. So, here's the first one:

Classic Thanks
A quick card for a Red Line customer. Looking at it in this picture I'm ashamed of the quality of the black ink. It certainly doesn't look like that in real life; eewww.
Catalog CASE
Quick and easy, lacy and lovely. The only thing that makes this card go a little slowly is cutting out the Pumpkin Pie colored images.

Using some scraps and a new die
I had this paper sitting in my Christmas card box, so I figured I'd take the opportunity to use it up! Love this cute little birdie from the SU! set For the Birds. Also, I was able to use a new die from the Chalk Talk Framelit set I recently purchased.
Easy Event
This one was certainly not quick, but it was easy. Love that Easy Events set. Bummed it's now retired. They didn't keep it long :( The card is a CASE of one made by Heather Klump.

Pink, but not Christmas
Thought I'd use an old, retired set that I love; Live Your Dream. Can't for the life of me find my inspiration picture, but it's pretty close to the same.

Cards are Simple with the Right DSP
All I did here was cut a piece of this beautiful retired paper and tie a quick ribbon. Simple and pretty.
....LOVED that paper. Too bad they only gave you 2 sheets per pack.

Pink Christmas #2
So, why the pink Christmas? I accidentally ordered a pack of Regal Rose cardstock before it retired, and I already had a full one! It was supposed to be Tangerine Tango but I punched in a wrong number and didn't check my order, even though the system prompts you to check. Oh well, I think the Pink Christmas is growing on me.
This one seems even more simple than the last, but tying the ribbon turned out to be not so easy, and the glittery embossed snowflakes... let's just say that I've decided glitter DOES look good everywhere!

I'm bummed this stamp set is no longer available; it sure makes for a quick and simple card!

Pink Christmas #1
I've started the Christmas cards. I figured I'd better get started early this year. Last year, I only made a few cards and about 60 people on my regular list did not get a card. BAD ME!
Here's the first of many (I hope).
Pretty plain and simple... that's going to be the theme this year I think.

Clipboard of my own
Here's a clipboard I made for myself.
The back is covered with a plastic laminate so that the flowers don't peel back. they are thick stickers from an old, retired Stampin' Up! Simply Scrappin kit.

I need to find a way to attach a pen other than tying it to the top. I'm thinking of a straw like tube under the clip. Hmmm... on the hunt....
Father's Day scrapbook page
Quick page, trying to decide how to add words to the "arrow" like the one below. Also trying to decide on the embellishments for the bottom

Congrats Grad
Well, I just finished one of the two the grad classes I needed to take this summer to keep my teaching certificate. Funny how so many people think teachers have it made with summers off. HA! I have 4 more weeks to go for the other class. However, at least I have had time for a little craftiness :)
This is a quick and easy graduation card for a neighbor. This literally took me 10 minutes to make because I had the printable (sorry, can't remember who made the original).

Forgotten stufff
I made these clipboards for some of the staff at school, last August, but I guess I never posted them! Oh well, better late than never :)
These were for the principal and assistant principal.
These were for the guidance counselors.
These were for our wonderful office secretaries.

And, this is the back of the ones above.
They are very plain and simple, but serve the purpose. I love these clipboards because they have a spot to hold a pencil on the clip!
Hopefully, I'll get my "summer of craftiness going soon. I just have a hard time tearing myself away from pinterest!! :?
